- 《重庆市历史文化名城保护规划（2021—2035年）》以市域文化线路、文化区域和国家历史文化名城核心区域组织保护，并在核心区域提出‘两江四岸、四山六岛’的山水人文格局。规划图中的市域、核心区域、历史城区和具体保护对象是不同层级，不能把两江交汇处等同全部重庆。
- 重庆市政府概况资料记录了 1891 年开埠、1937 年成为战时首都、1940 年定为陪都和 1997 年重新设立直辖市等节点。不同年份对应港口、战争、行政区划与城市建设的不同问题；今天的直辖市范围也不能反向套用到所有历史时期。
- 重庆工业遗产工作方案把 1891—1982 年间生产、加工、仓储、生活、教育等物质遗存，以及企业档案、生产线、工艺和影像等非物质材料纳入观察。这个政策口径不等于重庆全部工业史，也不说明每座厂房已经认定、开放或完成更新。

重庆的城市空间由长江、嘉陵江、山脊、台地、河岸与跨江交通共同塑造，又叠加巴渝、开埠、抗战、工业建设和直辖市等历史层次。‘山城’与‘江城’可以帮助辨认地形关系，却不能只用夜景、索道、单轨或一处网红街区代表今天面积广阔、城乡并存的重庆市。
Chongqing's urban space is shaped by the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, ridges, terraces, banks and cross-river transport, layered with Bayu history, treaty-port development, the wartime capital, industrialization and municipality status. Mountain City and River City help identify terrain, but night views, cableways, monorails or one popular district cannot represent today's extensive municipality and its varied urban and rural communities.

阅读重庆可以画‘江—岸—山—城—梯—港—厂—居’八层剖面：先确认长江、嘉陵江、山脊和台地，再选择一段有来源的步道或交通联系，把历史街巷、开埠港口、抗战遗存、工业空间和居民生活分别标注。地图上的水平距离不能代替真实高差；规划中的展示线路是组织方法，不是唯一城市叙事；一张夜景照片也不能证明建筑年代、历史用途或社区共同记忆。
Read Chongqing through river, bank, ridge, city, stair, port, factory and home. Establish the Yangtze, Jialing, ridges and terraces, then follow one sourced walking or transport connection while distinguishing historic lanes, treaty-port sites, wartime remains, industrial spaces and residential life. Flat map distance does not capture elevation. A planned interpretation route is an organizing device rather than the city's only story, and a night photograph cannot establish a building's date, past use or shared community memory.

Continuity and learning
山城街巷、滨江空间、工业遗存和居民社区仍在交通、更新、生产与日常生活中变化。学习者要把规划目标、已认定遗产、现场开放和商业再利用分开，关注坡道、梯坎、天气、水位、施工与无障碍条件的时效性；进入社区、厂区或纪念空间应遵守现场规则并征得拍摄同意。抗战和工业口述要标明讲述者、时间与授权，不用一段个人回忆替代所有劳动者或居民经验。
Mountain lanes, riverfronts, industrial remains and neighbourhoods continue to change through transport, renewal, production and daily life. Separate planning goals, formally recognized heritage, current access and commercial reuse, and recheck slopes, stairs, weather, water level, construction and accessibility. Follow site rules and seek consent in neighbourhoods, factories and memorial spaces. Wartime and industrial oral histories require speaker, date and permission rather than being generalized to every worker or resident.
