Historical context
杜甫（712—770）是唐代诗人，字子美，生于河南巩县；他的作品记录个人漂泊，也回应安史之乱前后的社会变化，后世以“诗圣”和“诗史”等称谓概括其影响。
Du Fu (712–770), courtesy name Zimei, was a Tang poet born in Gongxian, Henan. His writing joins personal displacement with the social upheaval around the An Lushan Rebellion, and later generations called him the Poet Sage while describing his work as poetic history.

What to notice
读杜诗时，可以先辨认题名、版本、诗中说话者、地点与写作时间，再把字面可见的意象和动作同生平解释分开。诗歌能保存时代感受，却不是逐日编年的官修史书；“诗史”是后世对作品历史容量的评价，不表示每一句诗都能脱离版本、语境和其他史料直接当作事实记录。
A careful reading begins with title, version, speaker, place and probable date, then separates visible images and actions from biographical interpretation. Poetry can preserve an experience of its age, but it is not an official day-by-day chronicle. The later label 'poetic history' describes historical depth; it does not make every line a freestanding factual record without context and corroboration.

成都杜甫草堂把故居遗址、历代纪念建筑、馆藏与当代博物馆功能叠合在一起，不能把今天看到的每一座建筑都称为唐代原物。学习者应注明诗文版本与资料出处，把诗中声音、可考生平、后世称号和纪念空间分层；展览、开放时间和馆藏展示状态都需按日期核对。
Chengdu's Du Fu Thatched Cottage combines a residence site with later memorial buildings, collections and a modern museum. Not every structure visible today is a surviving Tang object. Learners should cite editions and sources, separating poetic voice, documented life, later titles and memorial space; exhibitions, access and display status require current verification.
